We're Recruiting Network Operation Centre Operators

Explore a career as a Network Operations Centre Operator and make a difference to road safety, supporting our large team of Mobile Speed Camera Operators.

Mobile Speed Cameras

In Partnership with Acusensus, G4S delivers field operations to support the Transport for NSW Mobile Speed Camera Program.  Our services include manning vehicles, managing scheduling and control room operations for the South West, Southern and Sydney South regions.

G4S partners with Transport for NSW to reduce road fatalities by providing a dedicated team of speed camera operators.  The operation is a proven way to get drivers to slow down and the program saves lives.  As well as tackling road safety, the revenue from fines goes towards upgrading roads for people in regional New South Wales.

By moving around to different locations at different times to detect speeding, we support the perception of ‘anywhere, anytime’ enforcement and boost police operations.  In addition to encouraging safe and legal road user behaviour and minimising the risk of road trauma, our Road Safety teams allow police more time to enforce other important road safety issues such as drink and drug driving.

The role of a Network Operations Centre Operator (NOC Operator)
NOC Operators are based in our high-tech control centre.  They use multiple monitoring tools and CCTV monitoring technology and take regular calls from Speed Camera Operators to support them in their day-to-day duties.  As the main point of contact for Mobile Speed Camera Operators, they coordinate the vehicles and camera placement for enforcement sessions.  They actively monitor each vehicle’s travel journey, speed alarm and duress system. NOC Operators also support Mobile Speed Camera Operators by assisting them with reporting processes and responding to incidents.

Roster
Staff work a 24/7 rotating roster.   This is 3 days on / 3 days off, or 2 days on / 2 days off.
